Project
Kamelot - Complex solution for distributing traffic information in standardized formats
Annotation:
The Kamelot project aimed to bridge the gap between the ability of an entity to produce content-valuable primary data (traffic information) on the one hand, and the functional, efficient and high-quality provision of this information to subscribers, preferably in some standardised format, on the other hand. The documentation module will allow the documentation of the formats provided and the description of the protocols for their exchange with subscribers. The integration of a web-based subscriber management module (3scale) will ensure the management of subscribers, including the optional setting of pricing schemes, tracking of the volume of data taken and support for the related billing agenda. The archiving module will provide controlled archiving of published data. The testing module will allow to test the structural and content correctness of the published data. The monitoring module will monitor a set of runtime characteristics over time and detect problem conditions. The plug-in system will allow transformation into various formats, but especially DATEX II and TPEG. The Trans-Loc service will allow to convert location descriptions between different systems such as Alert-C (RDS-TMC) location tables, OpenLR and GDF 5.0 format map sets from different vendors. A related methodology for documenting and distributing traffic information will make it easier for small and large producers of primary traffic information to provide their data to a wide community of subscribers through the Kamelot system in an Internet environment (12/2016).
