Project
Man and global communication

The project focuses on the study of telecommunication technologies, networks and services and their use primarily for real-time process control. Individual topics are based not only on the current state of the field in the Czech Republic, but also on forecasts for the development of modern telecommunication systems designed for mass deployment (mobile networks, IP multimedia networks), as well as systems designed for specific solutions where, for example, guarantees of specified quality of service are required.
Within the projects, specific solutions are designed on the basis of analyses of the requirements for telecommunication systems, in particular in the context of their integration into transport systems, where the telecommunication parameters achieved (telecommunication performance indicators) are among the key system parameters (telematics performance indicators).
The individual tasks are embedded in the framework of the study of telematics and telecommunication projects within the national and international research programmes of the Faculty of Transport (e.g. C-ROADS), as well as in relation to specific industrial orders (e.g. Škoda Auto).
The project has at its disposal the capacities of the CertiLab, including its technological facilities, and it is possible to carry out final work with the available equipment, which is constantly being expanded (4G and 5G network simulators, C-ITS units, IoT, 3D printing, RF measurement equipment and much more). Students have the opportunity to work closely with R&D and non-academic staff in the lab.
